One of the main aims of Bristol Explorers is to generate new expeditions. For anyone interested in hatching new diving adventures or for those looking for advice, sponsorship or crew to join their ongoing plans, we will be meeting informally at 7:30pm on Thursday 18th February at Goldbrick House, Bristol. There’s no agenda, just a group of divers getting together to see what we come up with. The plottting will be hosted by diving journalist and TV Presenter Monty Halls.

North Pole expedition gets the go-ahead
Polar Explorer Antony Jinman has just gained a major financial supporter for his North Pole Expedition next year.
The Last Great Challenge
In November 2010, Bristol Explorers, John Wilton-Davies and Justin Miles will attempt to become the first people to reach the South Pole and return, completely unsupported. No resupplies, no dog sleds, no kite skiing. Nothing. The longest unsupported polar journey in history and The Last Great Challenge.
Belinda Kirk, Expedition Manager and TV Director
Belinda has been on 12 major international expeditions in the last 15years. The smallest expedition she’s set up was a group of four to China’s Desert of Death, and the largest was leading a team of over one hundred to the Amazon – patroned by HRH Duke of York. She has also sat on the Jungle Panel at RGS’s Explore and is keen to promote young explorers.
