FULL & PART-TIME SEASONAL COACHING STAFF: Deadline 25th January

South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre are recruiting full and part-time coaching staff from March 21st to Oct 31st 2010 to run their day and residential programmes.  Some weekend and evening work is also required working a maximum of a 37-hour week.  New staff are given a full induction with supervision and training as required and there are opportunities to pursue additional NGB awards.

South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre is run by Gloucestershire County Council Centre offering water and land-based programmes on behalf of the Children and Young People’s Directorate.  The Centre is purpose built, has excellent equipment, a 45 acre lake of clear water and is situated in the Cotswold Water Park.  We run a full programme of events and courses for young people and adults, from taster to instructor courses at this expanding Outdoor Centre.

Experience and commitment to engage with young people through Outdoor Education is essential.

Salary: £14766 – £16478 p.a., (pro rata for part-time), pay award pending. Please note that there is no accommodation for staff.

A minimum of two NGB qualifications is required from the following activities; Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Windsurfing or Archery.  A Youth Work qualification is desirable.
