Greenland Icecap Challenge – 5th June – Free Race Preview Day
In May 2011 the first ever Greenland Icecap Challenge will take place. This unique event is a 540km race where competitors will complete a full traverse of the icecap, a feat that is highly acclaimed among the world of polar explorers. Competitors will survive for between 18 – 27 days in one of the most inhospitable places in the world. Surviving in temperatures of -35°C, pulling pulks up to 75kg

Thanks to those that came to the Mountain Expedition Planning session last month. There are now two brilliant new mountain expeditions in the pipeline for 2011 – in UK and Afghanistan.
Congratulations to Annie and Mel
Annie and Mel landed safely in Antigua on Monday evening to a rapturous welcome from racers and locals. They finished in 16th place in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race which is very respectable considering that much of the field were fours or male pairs.
LIA DITTON COMPLETES HER OARSOME CHALLENGE
At 12:59 Thursday 18th March, Lia Ditton and Mick Birchall rowed Dream Maker across the finish line to take 9th place in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race (2009), their Oarsome Challenge completed.
