LIA DITTON COMPLETES HER OARSOME CHALLENGE
At 12:59 Thursday 18th March, Lia Ditton and Mick Birchall rowed Dream Maker across the finish line to take 9th place in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race (2009), their Oarsome Challenge completed.
LIA DITTON’S EPIC ATLANTIC CHALLENGE CONTINUES TO FRUSTRATE
67 days in and with just 250 nautical miles between Dream Maker and landfall, the weather continues to defy the forecasts. Frustrations and concerns are building on-board as the end date repeatedly recedes.

Week eight of Lia Ditton’s Atlantic Row has seen the much improved relationship on board Dream Maker help the crew deal with the frustrations surfacing as a result of the ‘stop-go’ nature of this year’s event.

Lia Ditton & Mick Birchall have experienced their fair share of physical, mental and emotional challenges during their five weeks at sea in Dream Maker, their entry in the 2009 Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race. Currently they are just a few places and 35 nautical miles ahead of Mel & Annie, in their boat Explore, fellow Bristol Explorers!
