Murray Smith: Kitesurfer and Adventurer

Murray spent most of his time in 2007/08 getting beaten all round the world in BBC/Discovery’s Last Man Standing.  Discovering that living on reindeer testicles and being kicked in the b*lls had many traveling perks, he followed the series with a 90mile solo kite crossing between Antigua and St Barts. which lead to a 27day stroll over the Greenland Icecap.

Mel and Annie Atlantic Crossing: Blog 7 and 8

26th January- Mel – I slept through the alarm twice last night – lovely for me as it means I must have been sleeping really deeply, which can only be a good thing, but v annoying for Annie who had to keep track of time on a watch with no light and shout at me when it was time for me to wake up!  I’m putting it down to the fact that I’m so used to life on board now that my brain tunes out noises it knows aren’t important – or that’s my excuse anyway!

Help us Row the Atlantic and raise £5million for Charity

Do you have any old CDs, Computer Games or Mobile Phones you don’t want any more ? Ocean Rowing Events was set up 3 Years ago with the express mission to raise £1 million for charitable causes by conducting inspiring Ocean based expeditions involving people from all walks in life. We have nearly reached that target and have now set ourselves a more ambitious one. We wish to raise £5million for a panel of 20 chosen charities that is up to £250,000 each.
